Reference: Advertised for sale at The Una Harvey Shop, price $20 plus tax (alongside the Jelly Belly Sparrow, patented in Feb-March 1944), in the Chicago Daily Tribune, 8 Oct 1944, p 21; click thumbnail above to view advertisement. Brunialti, American Costume Jewelry - Art and Industry (2008) Vol 2 p 174, showing two examples of the larger original 1941 Bel Geddes design, and this sterling pin, dated 1943. Patent is reproduced below (scroll down); designer Norman Bel Geddes, dated 1941.
