Ciro of Bond St - a British company - opened its first US branch on Fifth Ave in 1939, expanding to most major cities by the 1960s. Throughout that period, Ciro was a sufficiently important and prestigious outlet that several New York firms - including DuJay, Mazer, Boucher and Trifari - allowed Ciro to put its stamp on the designs they manufactured.
