Marked: Thomas Fattorini Ltd, Regent Street, Birmingham I
Reference: The company was founded in 1827 by Antonio Fattorini, an Italian speaking immigrant, in Yorkshire England. The Regent Street factory in Birmingham began operating in 1927; it supplies campaign medals and badges of honour (such as knighthoods and OBEs) to the British government. The company is still run by the Fattorini family. This necklace was made to coincide with the 1972 Tutankhamun Exhibition at the British Museum; this piece closely resembles the pectoral scarab amulet from that tomb.
