Reference: Advertised for sale at Auerbachs, identifying the manufacturer as Coro, in the Salt Lake [City UT] Tribune, 15 Dec 1940, p 24; click thumbnail above to view advertisement. See COR1852, with both the DeMille plaque and a Coro signature, confirming the advert's attribution. Like the Korda 'Thief of Bagdad' and 'Jungle Book' series, the jewelry was inspired by a film - 'North West Mounted Police', 1940, directed by DeMille. Mounties in this period film wore fur hats, not the now familiar flat brimmed stetsons. Reference Links - cor1852
