Description: gold plated base metal, rhinestones, lucite, cabochon
Marked: Coro
Reference: Brunialti, American Costume Jewelry - Art and Industry (2008) Vol 2 p 208, original sterling version with patent dated 1945. This is a later non-sterling production marked Coro like other jelly belly fish pins of 1947-49 (Brunialti, op. cit p 210). Patent is reproduced below (scroll down); designer Adolf Katz.
