Reference: Design, construction, and non-use of Sterling date this to 1938-42. Similar pins were produced in 1941 by Coro - Brunialti, American Costume Jewelry - Art and Industry (2008) Vol 1 p 116 (and back cover); and by Goldstein-Poland Co. of Providence RI - patent is reproduced below (scroll down); designer James Poland, dated 1941
