Reference: The patent number on the duette is for the mechanism, designed by Marcel Boucher, filed 1935, dated 1939. The design for all pieces is based on the patent reproduced below (scroll down), designer Marcel Boucher, filed November 1936, issued March 1937. Boucher was on the design staff of Mazer from 1930 to 1937, before he formed his own company. See Brunialti, Tribute to America, p. 24 for Boucher's early career with Mazer, and this patent.
