Description: sterling vermeil, rhinestones, lucite
Marked: Trifari with Crown, Pat Pend, Sterling Reference: Brunialti, American Costume Jewelry, pp. 147, 148. Patent is reproduced below (scroll down); designer A Philippe, dated 1942. This piece is clearly based on the design - see Brunialti for the 1942 Big Poodle which exactly follows it; this piece in sterling can be dated 1944; the pat pend mark probably means another more exact patent was intended but not pursued.
