Reference: A. Gordon, 20th Century Costume Jewelry, p. 119, pictured. Brunialti, American Costume Jewelry, pp. 145-6, JB2, the original design of which this is a variant, by Norman Bel Geddes, dated 1941. The patent number on the pin is for the Philippe Jelly Belly Angelfish of 1943, which (together with use of sterling) dates this piece
