Reference: Mark identifies this as one of the licensed souvenir pins of the San Francisco CA Golden Gate International Exposition (World's Fair), held in 1939-40 on Treasure Isalnd in San Francisco Bay, celebrating the opening of the Golden Gate in 1937. The exhibition featured a mural by Diego Rivera, friend of Trotsky and husband of Frida Kahlo, recent subject of an Oscar nominated film.
